We know these are uncertain times. We want you to know how much we prioritize your health, safety and well-being.
As of today, our office will be closed until further notice.
We've made this decision to ensure we are doing our part in limiting the spread of COVID-19 and protecting the well-being of our clients and our community.
As a doctor, your health remains my primary concern. In light of the recent circumstances, I am altering how I provide care to limit the spread of this virus as much as possible. Patients with emergent or urgent issues will still be seen, either by me or one of my partners. Please reach out at (905) 901-9545 or [email protected]. If I am not available, my staff will help direct you to one of my colleagues for your treatment.
For concerns of a less immediate nature, my staff will do their utmost to accommodate you as efficiently as possible while taking precautions to protect you against the unintentional spread of this virus. In some cases, we’ll be able to address your concerns by phone or video call. In other circumstances, face to face visits will be arranged but may need to be delayed until this threat is contained, depending on the urgency of your circumstances. We appreciate your understanding, as these measures are out of concern for your long-term health.
We will come through this challenging time together as a community, and my team is here to support you through it. My commitment remains to provide you with the best care I can to protect your health. Here at Oakville Plastic Surgery, we are looking forward to seeing you again in the future.
When it comes to Laser Facial Treatment, at Oakville Plastic Surgery we use a non-invasive (non-ablative) approach, which is non-wounding, to treat our patients. This treatment is meant to tighten any saggy loose skin as well as reduce facial wrinkles and skin irregularities such as blemishes, acne scars, beard bumps, stretch marks, uneven skin tone or texture, sunspots/damage, and signs of aging. Ultimately, this is a fast, painless procedure that will rejuvenate your complexion to have you looking and feeling young and healthy. This is definitely the safest procedure for laser facial treatment, making it the preferred method for fighting skin damage.
The laser used in the facial treatment is very effective and comfortable for patients. It generates heat that reaches the deep portions of the skin but does not damage or wound the surface of the skin. The laser works to tighten the skin and uses the heat to eliminate damage caused by the sun, acne, and other scars, skin irregularities, and discolourations. Depending on the damage targeted, seeing results can take anywhere from 1-5 sessions. Our specialist will be sure to offer you a unique solution for your specific facial structure and skin complexion.
Using targeted 1064 nm laser energy, this technology targets and treats a variety of skin concerns. Safe for all skin types (1-6), the Nd:YAG laser can treat uneven skin tone, pigmented lesions, age and sun spots, port wine stains and beard bumps (PFB). This laser is safe, non-invasive and non-ablative. The treatment usually takes 15-45 minutes depending on the area(s) to be treated and how much damage is present. The results are consistent, almost always leading to a visibly tighter, smoother, clearer, younger, and healthier looking skin.
The targeted cells, which are destroyed by the laser beam are pushed up to the skin’s surface and shed away during the healing process. Some scabbing, flaking, oozing or scaling may occur which will resolve over a period of 7 to 10 days. Recovery will vary depending on the depth of the treatment, however, most patients will experience no down time and will be able to return to work immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What’s the difference between non-invasive and invasive laser facial treatment?
A. The basic difference between ablative (invasive) and non-ablative (non invasive) treatments is that ablative lasers target and remove the top layer of skin, while non-ablative lasers work by heating up the underlying skin tissue (without wounding the surface) so that your body will produce new collagen. Ablative laser treatment takes longer to recover from however it is a lot more effective and results are night and day. Non ablative laser treatment is fast and comfortable, however if you want to see big results multiple sessions are needed and a longer duration.
Q. What should be done before non-invasive laser treatment?
A. The potential patients should:
avoid tanning or excessive sun exposure
avoid perfumes, deodorants, and other possible irritants to the treatment area
avoid taking blood thinners, such as aspirin, in the 12 hours before the treatment
Q. How can I decide what is better for me between Invasive or non-invasive treatment?
A. Share your story and your goals with us and we can help! Contact us today for a consultation where our specialists will be able to funnel you towards the right treatment for you based on the damages and irregularities on the skin.
