I had three procedures done at the same time by Dr. de Kleer. I had a tummy tuck and liposuction to correct the skin apron left from 110 pound weight gain and loss from prednisone therapy for a previous autoimmune condition. Dr. de Kleer also fixed my nipples from previously being pierced. My consultation with Dr. de Kleer was very constructive. I was incredibly and noticeably nervous but that passed quickly as we continued to discuss the procedure. She made me feel very comfortable and spoke to me in a way I could understand. We discussed my wants and expectations. I wanted my body to look like I wasn't previously sick. I wanted that part of my life behind me. She very clearly laid out the procedure in steps and explained how she could fix about 90% but some stretch marks would still be there, just substantially shorter. I asked so many questions throughout this entire experience, so many almost comical now in hindsight, each one answered and explained for my understanding. I laugh thinking about what I asked now but I was never made to feel my questions were silly. (Some definitely were.) After meeting with Dr. de Kleer I met Karen. Karen is an OR nurse. Karen is incredible. She explained to me what to do before the operation a couple months out, a couple weeks out, and day of surgery, twice. Once the day I met her and then a couple weeks before to ensure I was still on track. I can't stress how well my aftercare has been and it has been because of Karen's expertise and experience. On the day of the procedure I was not as nervous as I thought I would be. Again, Dr. de Kleer has a way of making her patients feel comfortable and calm. And very excited. I thanked everyone and fell asleep. My recovery has been a breeze. My one caveate was that I would not be taking any narcotics. Dr. de Kleer and Karen then divided a plan without narcotics. No problem at all. I took 2 extra strength Tylenol rapid release every six hours for 4 days. I was back and forth to OPS&M after two days, then a week then a month and so on. I knew I could get any assistance needed with a phone call or email. I have also had the pleasure of being looked after by Kim the office manager. Kim was the first person at OPS&M I met. She explained the way the business side worked. She also didn't laugh at me the first day when she brought me to the examination room and I was so nervous I asked if I should keep my shoes on or off. Keana and Vanessa on the front desk have been fantastic at every interaction. Watching Kim, Keana or Vanessa interact with the patients and customers it is plain to see they enjoying interacting with and helping people. Every person I have encountered has been so kind and focused on my expectations and recovery. As for my results--AMAZING. Dr. de Kleer has given me peace when I step out of the shower and see my torso in the mirror. Each stretch mark bottom was re-married to top. But most are gone. My appendix scar gone. My nipples, that entered the room a minute before me, gone. I feel whole again. I see no autoimmune reminders. I'm happy.
