Improve the appearance of sun damage, uneven pigmentation, redness and dull skin with customized BBL® BroadBand Light treatments at Oakville Plastic Surgery & Medspa. Using advanced BBL HERO™ technology, our team can treat areas of the face and body with precisely selected wavelengths of light based on your skin, concerns and aesthetic goals.
What Is BBL BroadBand Light Treatment?
BBL stands for BroadBand Light®, an advanced form of intense pulsed light therapy. Unlike a traditional laser that uses a single wavelength, BBL delivers carefully selected ranges of light energy that can be adjusted to address different visible skin concerns.
The light energy is absorbed by targeted pigment or visible blood vessels within the skin. This process helps the body gradually clear the treated areas, revealing a more even and refreshed-looking complexion.
BBL HERO technology allows our team to treat both small, precise areas and larger areas of the body efficiently. Each treatment is customized following a skin assessment, rather than using the same settings for every patient.
What Can BBL Treatment Address?
Depending on your skin type, treatment area and personalized settings, BBL may help improve the appearance of:
- Sun damage
- Brown spots and age spots
- Freckles
- Uneven pigmentation
- Facial redness
- Small visible blood vessels
- Uneven skin tone
- Dull-looking skin
- Early visible signs of aging
- Certain acne-related concerns
Not every type of pigmentation or redness should be treated in the same way. A consultation allows our team to examine your skin, identify the nature of the concern and determine whether BBL is appropriate.
BBL Treatments for the Face and Body
Sun exposure and visible skin changes are not limited to the face. The speed of BBL HERO allows larger areas to be treated efficiently, including areas that are often overlooked in a traditional facial treatment.
