ThermiTight™: Bridging the gap between non-invasive procedures and surgery.

ThermiTight, neck, jawline

Something that sets our clinic apart from other surgical centres is the diversity of our service offerings. While we provide world-class surgical procedures for the face and body, our patients have access to cutting edge non-invasive cosmetic devices and treatments as well. One such micro-invasive treatment that we are pleased to offer is ThermiTight™. What makes this device so exciting is its ability to bridge the results gap between non-invasive cosmetic devices and surgery.

The decision to pursue surgery is not to be taken lightly. The results are lasting; the healing process involves some measure of discomfort and requires time out from daily routines. For these reasons, it is understandable that many patients opt for non-invasive treatments; however, in some instances this approach does not always provide ideal results. With lax skin for instance, patients with moderate elastosis cannot achieve the same level of tightening and contouring results with radiofrequency devices such as Thermage® as those that can be realized with surgery.

This is where the science of ThermiTight™ comes into play. This unique technology allows the plastic surgeon to employ temperature to effect therapeutic results on tissues. This provides a means to produce outcomes that come closer to what is possible with surgery.

How ThermiTight™ works.

A thorough health assessment and consultation will determine the ideal treatment plan for each individual. A local anaesthetic is applied prior to treatment; the ThermiTight™ treatment probes are then inserted into specific areas where contouring and tightening is required. In instances where excess fat needs to be removed, the ThermiTight™ probes are heated to the therapeutic temperature at which the fat cells are destroyed. Similarly, areas where skin tightening is required involves precisely heating the connective tissues to the temperature where collagen remodelling is induced. With this micro-invasive procedure, swelling and mild redness can be experienced.

The ability to treat and target different tissues is what gives the ThermiTight™ technology an edge over other minimally invasive devices that most often focus on resolving only one component of aging concerns; ThermiTight™ can address a broader scope of issues that contribute to bulges and sagging skin. The desired aesthetic outcome is often achieved in just one treatment; the full results arise over a period of 6 months following the procedure as new collagen is synthesized.

The sculpting benefits of this treatment can be applied to both the face and body. Treat an ill-defined jawline or the loose skin on the back of the arms—there is a multitude of ways that ThermiTight™ can rejuvenate your physique. To learn more about this breakthrough treatment, Oakville Plastic Surgery and Advanced Skincare invites you to book in for a professional consultation with Dr. Nancy de Kleer, plastic surgeon.
