We’re excitedly anticipating the unveiling of the new Oakville hospital set for December 13, 2015. Dr. de Kleer conducts surgical procedures at the current hospital location, and will transition to the new hospital upon its opening. Our enthusiasm for this change lies in the enhanced patient care this new facility will provide:

• The design of the hospital boasts progressive technologies and features patient-centred improvements such as simple way-finding systems, extensive parking, greater privacy, indoor and outdoor spaces for rest, and “smart” patient rooms for increased comfort and convenience.
• Eighty per cent of patient rooms will be designated private. In addition to better infection prevention control, the comfort that this affords patients and their families is invaluable.
• Overhead paging and personal pagers will be replaced by wireless communication technology, thus reducing noise pollution and creating a quiet environment for patients and staff.
• A new cancer clinic will provide patients with everything they require to manage their illness, including: assessment, counselling, information resources, treatments such as blood transfusions, chemotherapy and radiation, as well as procedures such as breast reconstruction for which Dr. de Kleer’s skills and experience will continue to play a vital role.
